What’s up guys?! I know we don’t have any trivia today so this is something new we’re gonna try doing. Using this as an actual blog! Weird. I know. This will just be another way for you guys to be able to reach us. Maybe get to know us better and just see if this is something you’d like. Fairly soon, Craig and I with the help of some others are going to try and get a podcast going just incase you haven’t gotten enough of us in your life already. But this first one is gonna be about how we got started. Where it started, things that happened. It’ll be good….probably.
The Friday’s in Altamonte (now a Twin Peaks) is where a young, chiseled Craig Brooks decided he was going to set out a path and make trivia his bitch. He was a server at the time and not long after rose to the ranks of bartender with his off-brand humor. I know you guys know what I’m talking about. He told people at the bar his penis was averaged-sized and the most important thing was pleasuring himself. So kinda like now. Then an email came from corporate and it would be the birth of Tasty Trivia as we know it. They wanted to do trivia on Thursday Nights and to save money, a manager asked Craig if he would do it. Craig said he would and then we were off.
He caught the bug. After his first few shows, he played with the format. Got it to a place he knew would work and just kept piling on. And people liked him. Crazy enough, they did. When Craig wasn’t alienating people with his “dick-trivia” he was slinging drinks. Remembering faces, making friends. And don’t ya know that’s where he met the wonderful lady known as Lisa. Portrayed by Bill in a photo down below.
Lisa was in charge of finding some entertainment for the Graffiti Junktion in Longwood. But more about that in future posts.
TGI Friday’s is gone now. But it will always be the place that Craig and I (Pat) met, we became friends, and I saw Craig do his trivia thing first. Granted he was a few Long Islands deep at that point. We also have kept some of the awesome teams from back in the Friday’s Days.
Black Don’t Crack / Swarley
The Macho Team!
And I’m sure we have more that I’m forgetting about. This is a small piece of what eventually became what you guys see before you now. And maybe soon we’ll be posting about more teams. So when you get your pictures taken make sure to smile big and look pretty. Or you’ll be on the blog and not be happy about it.
This is a picture of Craig’s crowning achievement. Arm Wrestling Sean Patrick Flanery. I’m not sure why it’s here. But if you talk to him about it he’s gonna get super excited. So prepare for that. Thank you guys for checking this out. And let us know if you want more! PLEASE!!!
